How To Measure Your FitK9

Follow These 3 Simple Steps Below:

Step #1

Grab a soft measuring tape to measure your FitK9 measurements

Step #2

Use soft measuring tape to measure Dimensions A & B (Neck and Chest) of your FitK9

Step #3

Select Activegear Size from FitK9 ActiveGear Product Sizing Tables

Step #1

Grab yourself a Tailor's Soft Measuring Tape that is capable of measuring in both centimetres and inches... ( ie if you don't have one, pick one up at a drapery store, or sewing store)

Step #2

Measure your FitK9 with just two simple measurements:

  • Measurement "A" - Neck Measurements (2 Measurements)

  • Measurement "B" - Chest Measurement (1 Measurement)

  • Measure your dog whilst standing, to grab these two measurments (A + B) around Neck and Chest respectively.

  • Once you have these measurements refer to sizing tables in Step#3 below.

MEASUREMENT "A"

Measurement A is measured differently depending on whether you are measuring for a Harness or a Collar. Read instructions below, and watch video -->

  • For FitK9™ Harness: A = Neck Gitrth at the thickest part of the neck of your dog. Wrap the measuring tape around the thickest part of your dog’s neck and take this measurement for the harness. This measurement is right at the junction of the neck and shoulders, not where your FitK9 would normally wear a collar which is narrower.

  • For FitK9™ Collar: A = Neck Girth at where the collar sits. Our collars are designed to comfortably slip over the head of your dog. Wrap the measuring tape around your dogs neck to measure the collar cicumference around your dogs neck where a collar would nomally sit.

MEASUREMENT "B"

Measurement B is required for fitting a FitK9™ Harness Only:

  • For FitK9™ Harness: B = the chest circumference measurement of your dog. Our Harnesses are designed as an easy "over the head" fitting. The harness is most comfortable for your FitK9 when fitted at the base of the shoulder where the neck and shoulders meet.

  • Wrap your tape around the widest part of your dog's torso, which is usually behind the armpits of your dog's front legs.
